TEC CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS
Rocky Mountain C F & F Workshop
Agape TEC will be having a 1/2 day workshop on Friday, October 14, 2011 from 2:00 -6:00 pm --- "Leadership Training"
In order to train leaders in the formation of Catholic Christian communities of faith, to more effectively put on TEC weekend retreats in keeping with the TEC manual, and to assist local communities in developing an effective follow-up program, the TEC Conference has developed a series of workshops. These are held in various locations throughout the country (and beyond) and they include:
A workshop designed to assist present and future TEC leaders in the proper implementation of the official TEC Manual, maintaining the principles upon which the movement was founded.Communities of Faith and Follow-Through
A workshop designed to assist local communities in developing the Pre-TEC and Post-TEC --- namely a cohesive and well-formed community into which the TEC weekend itself is situated. Ideally it is the welcoming and nurturing community that invites the TEC candidate to experience the weekend, and supports the candidate afterwards.
These are held every few years. They focus upon the critically important roles of the spiritual directors of both the TEC community as well as the TEC weekend itself. The workshops are open to clergy, religious and lay persons alike, recognizing that all can function in the role of spiritual director.
A workshop designed to reinforce the central spirituality of the weekend, Paschal Mystery Spirituality, strengthen team preparation, increase awareness of the importance of the TEC community in giving weekends. Also, to assist in unifying and preparing a team in giving a TEC weekend and to improve in discerning the gifts of members of the TEC community for the good of all.More detailed information regarding all of these workshops, including dates and locations, is available through the links to the left.
YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY
A number of TEC communities have requested to have TEC be an integral part of young adult ministry within their diocese. The TEC Conference office, Fr. James Brown, OAR and Phil Jasheway have been in dialogue about how we can assist those TEC communities. Here are two documents written by Fr. James Brown, OAR, that address this very important issue:
